How it works: The BBC make a lot of their radio programmes available for on-demand listening. "Listen Again Radio" gives you an easy way to choose what programmes you like, and saves them onto your OneDrive in your "Music" folder so you can listen to them in any OneDrive-enabled music player. It also creates a podcast out of your OneDrive, so if you prefer you can also use any Podcast app. (Note: programmes will expire off your OneDrive within 7 days, just like the BBC's on-demand listening, and they're stored on your OneDrive at the lowest 48kbps bitrate that the BBC offers.)
Instructions: Click the "Add Station" button below. You'll be asked what category or categories of radio programmes you like. Then click the Save button. You can close the web page now. Over the next hour or two, those programmes will be copied onto your OneDrive, and thereafter your OneDrive will be kept up-to-date every day. Once that's done your station will also get a set of podcast links (generic, iTunes and Zune) that you can bring into your favourite podcast app as normal.
Customizing your stations: If you received every programme in a category, it would clutter your OneDrive with several gigabytes of programmes you're not even interested in. So let's fine-tune exactly which programmes you want on your personal stations. Click the drop-down ⋁ and you'll see — just as examples — the programmes from the past month that would have been included in your station, such as "The Archers [soap]". You can click on the programme's name to include or reject all episodes of The Archers. And you can click on the programme's category "soap" to include or reject all soap operas. This way you'll build up a set of rules about which programmes should or shouldn't be included in your station. You can also click the "everything else" button to say what happens for all programmes not covered by your rules. Remember to click Save again at the end.
Privacy note: Please note that the programmes are stored on your personal OneDrive, for your own personal use. Do not share them with anyone. Also don't share the podcast links with anyone, since those podcast links grant direct access to your own personal OneDrive.
